Stephen Sanchez announces his biggest ever UK tour for the spring and summer of 2026, culminating at the Roundhouse in London on 11 May.
The announcement comes as Stephen enters a new creative chapter with the recent release of his tender new single ‘Sweet Love’ – a timeless love song inspired by his grandparents, and accompanied by an intimate video co-starring the couple themselves, directed by Jason Lester (Hozier, Laufey, Conan Gray).
“‘Sweet Love’ really encapsulates the beautiful parts of love, and the active choice we have to make, to love one another every day. I was inspired by my grandparents’ relationship while writing the song, and it was so special to have them star in the video,” says Stephen.
One of the most beloved voices of his generation, Stephen is already a proven favourite with UK audiences, Stephen’s last visit to the UK saw him headline a sold-out show KOKO in 2024, after joining his close friend and mentor Elton John on stage during his Glastonbury headline set in 2023 for a surprise performance of Stephen’s lauded breakout single ‘Until I Found You’. The moment marked a defining milestone in his rapid rise. That ascent was cemented shortly afterwards with the release of his debut album Angel Face – a richly imagined, concept-led record featuring singles ‘Only Girl’, ‘Evangeline’, the Laufey-featured ‘No One Knows’ and recent standout ‘High’. In recent weeks, viral clips of Stephen performing ‘High’ have reignited attention around the album, drawing comparisons to the likes of Alex Turner, Elvis, Freddie Mercury, Hozier and Harry Styles.
A chance meeting
Born in California, Stephen moved to Nashville alone at just 17-years-old, where a chance meeting with key collaborator and producer Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Leon Bridges) led him to focus fully on developing his own material. After early buzz around debut single ‘Lady By The Sea’, Stephen’s trajectory shifted dramatically with the release of ‘Until I Found You’, a modern love song that has since become a contemporary wedding classic. Since its release, Stephen has earned acclaim from Rolling Stone, NME, The Observer, Evening Standard and Billboard, completed every major US late-night TV appearance, sold out headline tours worldwide, and landed within the Top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100. With over 20 million monthly Spotify listeners, more than one million Instagram followers and upwards of 50 million TikTok likes – all growing rapidly – his reach continues to expand.
