Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse is the Academy Award-winning film, live in concert. Coming to Glasgow’s SECC Armadillo on 25th October 2023.
For the first time ever, Spider Man: Into The Spider-Verse will be touring live in concert. The Spidey spectacle tours the UK autumn 2023, stopping at the likes of London, Sheffield, Birmingham, Glasgow and more.
A live orchestra, turntables and percussion will perform the original score and soundtrack bring the Academy Award-winning animated movie to life as it plays on a huge HD screen. The show made its world premiere at the King’s Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, earlier this year to rave reviews.
Spider Man: Into The Spider-Verse comes to the UK October – November 2023, stopping at Edinburgh, York, Manchester, Glasgow, London’s Eventim Apollo, Sheffield, Birmingham, Liverpool, Nottingham, Cardiff and Bath.
A Sony Pictures Animation film, directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman and written by Phil Lord and Rothman, the movie follows the journey of Marvel Comics character and Brooklyn resident Miles Morales, who after gaining superpowers from a spider bite, finds himself responsible for the survival of the multiverse.
Whilst meeting alternate versions of himself and learning of the possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask, Afro-Latinx teen Miles must master his new powers to save his city from a villain who could destroy it all.
The music score for the box office hit was composed by multiple Golden Globe®-nominee and Emmy-winning composer Daniel Pemberton, known for his work on movies such as The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Ocean’s 8, Steve Jobs and Molly’s Game.
The hip-hop based film score contains original music, showcasing elements of heroism and resilience, all complemented by song contributions from industry greats Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Jaden Smith and Nicki Minaj.
