Shrek is perfectly happy living alone in his swamp—until a group of fairy tale outcasts suddenly arrive on his doorstep. To get his home back, he agrees to help the ambitious Lord Farquaad by rescuing the spirited Princess Fiona from a dragon-guarded tower. Joined by a chatty Donkey, Shrek’s journey is full of unexpected friendships, surprising twists and a reminder that what makes us different is often our greatest strength.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek the Musical features music by Jeanine Tesori and a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, bringing these beloved characters to life with a witty, uplifting score and a story that celebrates friendship, acceptance and being proud of who you are.
