SEC Armadillo
The SEC Armadillo (aka the Clyde Auditorium) is one of Glasgow’s most striking mid-size venues, known for its shell-like architectural form and capacity to host both concerts and corporate events. With seating for up to 3,000 across three levels, it offers an engaging, modern setting for shows, performances, talks and more.

🎶 About the Venue
Situated on Finnieston Street within the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), the SEC Armadillo was built between 1995 and 1997 and designed by Foster + Partners. Its unique, overlapping shell-style structure gives it its nickname and makes it a Glasgow landmark. The venue was conceived to be flexible: though its headline capacity is around 3,000, it can scale down for smaller events. It forms part of the wider SEC complex, which also includes the SEC Centre and the OVO Hydro.
🎟️ What’s On at the SEC Armadillo
The Armadillo hosts a varied roster of events. From music concerts and comedy shows to lectures, corporate events and theatrical performances. Because of its design, the venue works well for both larger shows and more moderate-scale productions.
