Mo Gilligan is back with the There’s Mo To Life world tour. Coming to Glasgow’s SEC Armadillo on 10th November 2023.

BAFTA 2019 nominee, Royal Television Society 2019 winner and National Television Awards 2020 double nominee Mo Gilligan has come a long way since uploading comedy videos to social media channels from the back of a Levi’s store in Covent Garden.

Influenced by comedians like Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock, Gilligan – “the funniest man in Britain” (The Times) – burst onto the circuit in 2015 after winning several comedy competitions, including being named a Laughing Horse New Act Of The Year finalist.

In 2017, while becoming a regular at some of the UK’s top comedy venues, he achieved mainstream recognition thanks to Canadian rapper Drake, who quoted Gilligan on his Instagram page.

Gilligan shot to television stardom in 2018 by co-hosting The Big Narstie Show with the famous grime rapper. The Friday night chat, comedy and music programme allowed him to showcase his popular characters – like “Geezer”, the Essex lad who constantly orders his wife to grab him a “coupla cans” – in sketches.

In addition to fronting The Big Narstie Show, in 2019 he also launched his own series, The Lateish Show With Mo Gilligan, and created the TV stand-up special Mo Gilligan: Momentum.

His entertainment series

His entertainment series, Mo Gilligan’s All Star Happy Hour, debuted in early 2020. Blending humour, celebrity guests and games, it proved so popular Channel 4 commissioned another series.

Gilligan’s high-energy style, charisma and physicality have won him legions of fans not only in the UK but around the world.

Following the success of his first headline comedy outing, the Coupla Cans tour in 2018 and 2019, Mo Gilligan confirmed live shows for late 2021 garnering mo’ laughs with the There’s Mo To Life world tour.

In May 2021, he announced the biggest show of his career, Mo Gilligan + Friends – The Black British Takeover, would take over The O2 in London.

About the huge new stand-up event, Gilligan said, “I’m really proud of the Black British comedy circuit that I started on. The talent on this scene is exceptional, but all too often ignored by mainstream media, so what better place to showcase the culture than the most famous venue in country? We’re ready to bring the Great British Public a show like you’ve never seen before!”

In 2022, off the back of a storming host role at this year’s BRIT Awards and his second Netflix stand-up special release, the double BAFTA-winning comedian announced his return to London’s 20,000-seater TheO2 – a year to the day of his debut.
