After two years away from the spotlight, global superstar Lewis Capaldi is well and truly, back. Back in the charts with his huge new single ‘Survive’, back in the headlines after his surprise and magnificent return to Glastonbury Festival and, this September, back on tour in arenas across the UK.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when the Scottish singer-songwriter recently drew in a headliner-sized crowd for a surprise performance on Glastonbury Festival’s famed Pyramid Stage, making his return to live performance after almost exactly two years.

After weathering the kind of storm that few can prepare for, Lewis Capaldi returns with a renewed sense of purpose. ‘Survive’ proves that even in the darkest moments, there’s still strength in showing up. As he marks a new era, Lewis isn’t just surviving, he’s returning even stronger, heart wide open, and ready to step out again.

Until his retreat from the spotlight in 2023, it had been a whirlwind few years for Capaldi, that saw him making history, topping the charts and selling out arenas across the globe.

The two-time BRIT Award winner

The two-time BRIT Award winner’s trailblazing debut album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent was the top-selling album of 2019 and 2020. Breaking the record for the most consecutive weeks in the chart for any solo artist. The album became gold-certified one week after release. It still holds the record for the most streamed week one debut album. Global anthem ‘Someone You Loved’ was Capaldi’s first No.1 single and helped catapult him into global and mainstream success. Hitting No.1 on the US Billboard chart and spending seven consecutive weeks atop the U.K. charts. The single was Grammy-nominated for Song Of The Year and won a BRIT Award in the same category. ‘Someone You Loved’ became the best-selling single of 2019 and remains the fifth most-streamed song on Spotify with 2.2 billion streams.

Recognised as one of the most successful and critically acclaimed artists of his generation, Lewis Capaldi broke a world record in becoming the first artist in history to sell out an arena tour prior to the release of a debut album. Moreover, the tour sold out in one second and saw Capaldi perform in 36 different countries across the globe.

Returning to the stage

In 2022, Capaldi returned with new music as his single ‘Forget Me’ went straight in at the top of the UK Singles Chart before announcing his sophomore album titled Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent which is due out in 2023. The hit-stacked record scored him his second UK No.1 album, featuring three heartbreaking No.1 singles in ‘Pointless’, ‘Wish You The Best’, and the Platinum-certified ‘Forget Me’.

Lewis’ return to the stage in 2025 will take him to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, the Utilita Arena’s in Sheffield, Birmingham and Cardiff, Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, P&J Live in Aberdeen, Manchester’s Co-op Live, as well as two dates at The O2 Arena in London throughout September.
