Unfortunately, this post is from 2015, so you will be unable to purchase tickets. Thank you for pointing this out to us. Why not check out our Ice Skating in Glasgow post for all the best ice rinks in and around Glasgow. I hope this helps.

  1. Hi there, was just wondering if you need to book the tickets online or you can turn up on the day and pay there?

    1. You would need to contact the organisers of the Glasgow on ice to find out this information. Their booking phone number is 0141 353 8000.

    1. No age minimums – there is also special “under 8” skate sessions, these are 30 minutes long and cost just £8 in total, including one adults skate hire. Children must be 7 years old or younger and one adult must accompany each child.

    1. Peak skate sessions are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday all day.
Off-peak skating sessions are Monday – Wednesday all day.

  2. whats the difference between peak and off peak? and if your older than 7 years old is that classed as an adult?x

  7. I went ice skating in George Square last year and i loved it. When i arrived at George Square on christams eve i couldnt wait to get onto the ice as it looked really good. While i was waiting to get my ice-skaiting boots i got more & more excited.Eventually it was me & my friends turn to go onto the ice,it was a wonderful feeling to skate under all the twinkiling lights and listen to all the christams songs.I felt as if i was playing a part in a christmas film as it felt so magical. By the end of our session on the ice i was ready to go home and look foward to christams the next day. This year i hope to do the same & spend christmas eve at the ice rink.
