Connor Burns: Flow is the all-new show from Scotland’s hilarious global break-through stand-up star. Coming to Glasgow’s SEC Armadillo on 20th March 2027.
Connor Burns has become one of the breakout stand-ups of the decade the old-fashioned way: relentless touring, killer material and crowds telling their mates they’ve just seen somebody special. Long before television commissioners caught on, audiences already had. Clips of his live sets spread online at warp speed, racking up hundreds of millions of views and introducing Burns’ deadpan Scottish cynicism to comedy fans well beyond the usual circuit.
Raised in Scotland and sharpened in clubs across the UK, Burns developed a style that thrives on sharp observation, unshowy confidence and the kind of punchlines that arrive half a beat earlier than expected. There’s a proper live-wire quality to his stand-up – conversational one moment, devastating the next. Fans quickly embraced his ability to turn ordinary frustrations into something gloriously ridiculous.
His rise accelerated with solo shows including Vertigo and Gallus, the latter becoming a major touring hit that added encore dates around the UK before culminating in five sold-out performances at Glasgow’s King’s Theatre during the 2026 Glasgow International Comedy Festival. Alongside constant touring across Britain, Burns also took his stand-up internationally, performing throughout Europe, Australia and New York as part of the Fringe Encore Series and New York Comedy Festival. Vertigo later became a filmed special released through comedy heavyweight 800LB Gorilla.
Now comes Flow, Burns’ fifth solo show and his biggest leap yet. Demand for its 2026 Edinburgh Fringe premiere was so intense that more than 12,000 tickets sold before the festival brochure had even landed, prompting extra performances at the Edinburgh Playhouse. It’s another reminder that Burns’ ascent has happened almost entirely through live reputation – no panel-show conveyor belt, no polished celebrity rebrand, just stand-up that lands hard and keeps spreading.
Winning the 2025 Forth Fringe Award only added fuel to the momentum. Onstage, Burns remains brilliantly unvarnished: equal parts razor-sharp social commentator, fed-up everyman and mischievous pub philosopher. Flow promises another hour of tightly wound observations, fearless crowd energy and jokes that leave audiences laughing before they’ve fully processed the damage.
