Glasgow’s summer festivals are hugely varied; there’s everything from Shakespeare to samba, and piping to Pride. We’ve picked out a few of Glasgow’s best summer festivals. You don’t even need your wellies at most of them.
Thursday 15th October 2009: Get yourself and your kids out and about this October week with Glasgow’s half-term fun events. Try something new, and get a workout on the water with kayaking lessons in Glasgow!
Sunday 16th August 2009: The University of Glasgow is organising its 7th sponsored cycle, continuing to raise essential funds for the Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre, Glasgow.

21st – 24th July 2009: The Sound Institute are offering music workshops this summer in Cardonald College, Glasgow, for ages 4 – 20 yrs.
Sunday 28th June 2009: As part of the West End Festival, and in conjunction with the Glasgow Museum of Transport, Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust again offers you the opportunity to travel on vintage buses and coaches from the 1950’s to the 1970’s.
21st June & 5th July 2009: Bring your own picnic along to Crookston Castle on Sunday 21st June, and Sunday 5th July 2009, and you’ll find a bit of magic too.
8th August 2009: Pollok Family Day is a day of family fun, set within the beautiful surrounds of Pollok Country Park, voted the Best Park in Europe, 2008.
